CES Construction were engaged by Downer and successfully completed the project aimed at demolishing the existing epoxy paint and installing Metz Tiles in the Lavarack Pool. The scope of work included various tasks such as disposing of the pool water according to Townsville City Council requirements, removing existing epoxy paint and membranes from the pool, wet deck, and balance tank, as well as removing all existing joint seals and tiles on the edging. CES Construction also supplied and installed a new pool membrane, tiled the pool and edging, applied epoxy paint to the wet deck and balance tank, installed wet deck grates, concrete joint seals, depth markers, and replaced the main valve and inlet fixings. CES refreshed paint, signage, cleaned corroded surfaces, pressure cleaned the pool surroundings, and ensured the pool was filled and maintained for seven days to meet chemical requirements.
